The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle announced the winners and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2007.  The 39th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards were held tonight in a gala at the El Portal Theatre, thanks to the generous donation of El Portal's management. 

Award-winning stage and film performer Jason Graae, who received the Joel Hirschhorn Award for outstanding achievement in musical theatre, hosted the show. Graae was joined by Back Stage West critic (and perennial LADCC Awards co-host) Wenzel Jones. 

Awards were given in sixteen categories, honoring excellence in theatre over the past year.  Six special awards were also given.  The LADCC is grateful to the organizations that have graciously agreed to sponsor our special awards this year.
